Fitting new tyres isn’t just about bolting on rubber. At LBM, we match your vehicle with quality tyres suited to Australian conditions — hot summers, wet winters, and long highway hauls. We handle everything: removal of old tyres, professional mounting, computerised balancing, and pressure checks. Whether you’re after budget-friendly options or high-performance brands, we fit them to manufacturer specs so your car handles better, stops faster, and stays roadworthy.
We stock trusted tyre brands — from everyday reliability to performance upgrades — suited to your driving style and budget.
Our technicians use specialist equipment to mount tyres without scratching your rims, with correct torque settings every time.
Every fitting includes computerised wheel balancing to eliminate vibrations and extend tyre life — no extra charge.
We check tread depth, sidewall condition, and valve integrity to ensure your new rubber meets Victorian Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) standards.
Got questions about rubber, fitment, or wheel sizes? Here’s everything you need to know before rolling in — no jargon, honest answers.
We remove your old tyres, inspect the rims for damage, mount your new tyres using specialised lubricants and machinery, inflate to the correct PSI, and perform computerised wheel balancing. We also torque the wheel nuts to manufacturer specifications and dispose of your old tyres responsibly.
Look for tread wear indicators (the wear bars), cracks in the sidewall, unusual bulges, or consistent loss of pressure. Legally, you need 1.5mm of tread across the tyre surface — we recommend replacing at 3mm for safety, especially during Melbourne’s wet winters.
While standard fitting includes balancing, wheel alignment is a separate service we highly recommend when fitting new tyres. Poor alignment causes uneven wear and wastes your investment. Ask us to add a precision wheel alignment to your booking.
Typically 30–45 minutes for a standard set of four, depending on tyre size and whether we’re doing an alignment. We’ll give you a straight timeframe when you book — no “it’ll be ready whenever” nonsense.
Absolutely. If you’ve sourced your own tyres, we’re happy to fit and balance them for you. We’ll still inspect them for manufacturing defects before mounting to make sure they’re safe for Australian roads.
